Instead, they all seem to go after 3 years. This is the 3rd battery I've purchased from Amazon. I'd love to be able to upgrade to NiMh or Lithium but I can't find them here. I'd be really unhappy if I was paying $30 each (full price). They do the job well enough but they don't last as long as I would like. Like all NiCads they self discharge over several weeks but I expected that they would not die in under 5 years.
Darn shame but next time I buy a screwdriver it won't have a nicad battery. This is a typical nicad battery that is as lame as most nicads. I bougt it because I could not find a quality battery for my Milwaukee screwdriver and this was the only one available.
They hold a good charge under heavy use for at least two years. We use these in our manufacturing operations and they last for several days. We have backup batteries on charge so we are never without power.
I received a good battery for a great price and I got it in a timely fashion. What's to say.
